The recent March for Science highlighted the increasing concern over the disconnect between scientific support and policy makers in government. It is becoming increasingly clear that failing to bridge this gap can have far-reaching effects on several sectors such as research funding, healthcare, innovation, environmental sustainability, and many others.

We are extremely lucky to welcome Kei Koizumi, former Assistant Director for Federal Research and Development and Senior Advisor to the Director for the National Science and Technology Council under President Obama to the Tri-I community for a discussion titled "Policy for Science, Science for Policy, and Science for All: Lessons Learned at the Obama White House, or Why I Keep Marching". The talk will be followed immediately by a Q&A session.
